This is a great intermediate workshop to gain more confidence in working with your flash unit. All done without breaking the bank.

- Printing Photo Books
Presented by Photo Tour Trekkers Photographer James Cowie - We don't print photos like we used to during the days of film photography, and in some ways it has become a lost art. Creating photo books is one way to create an amazing picture book gallery of your images, from a trip, wedding or just a way to share your photography. James will work with you on sizing and preparing your images for your photo book, discussing layouts and composition and the easiest and best software to choose.
If you have ever thought about creating a book now is a great opportunity to learn how easy it is and create a memory to share with generations to come. We are suggesting as a pre set up for the workshop you select 20 to 30 images of a theme from a trip, wedding, or a series of your favourite images. Bring them in full size and download the template software from the link below. We are going to be working with the book creator Blurb. Go to http://www.blurb.ca/bookmaking-tools and register for an free account and download the BookWright template software from this page. Works on both Mac and PC computers. You will need a laptop computer loaded with the software to take this workshop.
- Printing your Digital Photos
Keeping with this year,s theme Beyond Your Camera Settings, printing and preserving your digital images is a way to share your work with others and one great way to do this is printing your own images. This workshop will help you learn more about selecting, preparing and sizing your images to print with an ink jet printer. Want to print your own photographs? Then this is the workshop for you.
- Photography 101 : Understanding your camera & basic composition
This session will cover getting to know and understand the basics of your camera: framing, composition and selecting lenses. Weather permitting, we will go out and take a few images based on what we have learned. This is a 2-hour workshop.
